Rockin' Fashion and Food Ideas

Rock and roll clothing for babies and kids is necessary when you're a Psychobaby! You also need to check out these crazy cakes and recipes that rock - 'cause if you are what you eat... you better eat food that ROCKS! Look the part with awesome rock n' roll fashion, personalized rocker hoodies, and cool band tees.
Check out this cool way to rock-ify your breakfast like a King, that is, *the* King! Everyone knows Elvis loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches - here's a delicious twist to make your own PB & Banana Pancakes, via stacymakescents.com. Best of all, it's a tasty way to use up those over-ripe bananas that always seem to be hanging out on the counter!

Peanut Butter & Banana Pancakes:

2 ½ cups whole wheat pastry flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sucanat (or brown sugar)
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup butter
¼ cup peanut butter
2 cups milk, plus more for thinning as needed
2 diced ripe bananas

 In a small saucepan, melt the butter and peanut butter. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except bananas. Stir with whisk to get rid of lumps. Stir in bananas. You may need to add more milk to get the batter as thin as you like, usually about ½ up more milk.

Pour batter out onto hot griddle. Cook until you see bubbles and the sides begin to set. Flip and cook until done. Serve hot with maple syrup.

Happy New Year - 2014 is Here!

Happy New Year! We hope yours is getting off to a great start!

There's nothing like a fresh box of crayons, a blank piece of paper, a whole new year to try new things! We'd love to hear what your resolutions or plans for 2014 are. We love the idea of doing a photo a day project for an entire year - how great would 365 daily photos of your kiddos be to look back on?

You could also do a year long project as a family -  how about choosing 12 books to read aloud at night, one every month? Or compile a list of recipes and cook one new dish together every week!  In case you didn't catch this cool idea last time we posted it, here it is again. All you need is an empty jar and paper! Every time (every day) something good happens in your family, write it down and put it in the jar. Then, at the end of the year, you can read these and look back on all the awesome moments of 2014.
