Be the Teacher's Pet: Teacher Gifts Under $20!

The end of the school year is upon us, which means it's time to spread the love to the people who are working their butts off to educate your little ones: TEACHERS! Now, we aren't the craftiest of mamas, however, we do know how to make a pretty special personalized gift.  And when it comes down to it, it really is the thought that counts.

Show your favorite teacher some love and give her a keepsake that'll last a little longer than a bouquet of flowers and MUCH longer that those homemade cookies. (Don't get me wrong, we LOVE cookies as gifts...but 23+ kids in a class x cookie gifts = sugar coma.) We've got mugs, tote bags, water bottles and more! Personalize your favorite design with your teacher's name, your school, your class year, your subject, etc. Be sure to view all of our teacher gifts !

However, if you ARE one of those crafty moms that we are all not-so-secretly jealous of, feel free to try your hand at one of these adorable and from-the-heart DIY teacher gifts.

You can start with something simple and inexpensive - like this adorable printable attached to Burt's Bees Chapstick. This is a good idea when you've got a ton of teacher gifts to dole out and don't want to break the bank.

Now, if you're ready to get a little trigger-happy with the glue gun, you can always put together a Crayon Monogram for your favorite teach.  Here are two different examples of how you can make it happen ("P" by Chic & Cheap Nursery and "K" by Workman Family):

If you want to go all out for your absolutely-the-best-most-favoritest-teacher-in-the-world, we would recommend the Beach Bag Summer Relaxation Kit by Skip To My Lou. It's not crazy hard to do, just takes a little time and effort gathering all the ingredients and putting it together with the right sentiment.  Might we suggest throwing in a pair of our Personalized Flip Flops (now in ADULT SIZE - WOO) so that she never mixes hers up at the beach?

Throw in personalized flip flops and you're the class favorite!

And last but not least, for those of you that are JUST like us, we found this awesome printable to add to a gift card by Chick-A-Bug - because sometimes all a teacher wants is a cup of coffee and a good laugh...on you!

Anytime we attempt crafts this cool, we end up featured on Pinterest Fails...but, "A" for effort, right? If you're looking for more DIY "Pin"spiration for your Teacher Gifts, check out our Pinterest Board and let us know how they turn out! We'll just be over here trying to get the glitter off of...everything.

Personalized Teacher Gifts That Rock!

It's that time of year, school's almost out for summer (oh jeez!) and you have to come up with some cool teacher gifts! We have it on good authority that teachers are always overwhelmed with a deluge of things like candy, so why not mix it up this year and get your fave educator a cool personalized gift?

Our #1 fave teacher gift is one of these fun, personalized mugs... complete with a gift card to your local coffee shop tucked inside! Long nights of grading and lesson planning mean teachers are always ready for another cup o' joe or tea... this gift is a total slam dunk. Check out this cute printable to put your coffee gift card in... adds an extra special touch!

Another useful but totally cool gift is a personalized kitchen towel! We have several teacher specific designs, and a bunch of other cute styles.

How about a personalized cutting board? We're thinking tucking in one of your child's favorite recipes would be a nice touch! This is especially sweet gift if the teacher you're shopping for has recently gotten married or had a baby... it celebrates his or her whole family in cool kitchen style!

Lastly, we have a bunch of awesome personalized water bottle designs. We're thinking the combo of our "wine" water bottle with this hilarious label on a bottle of your preferred vino is the ultimate in teacher gifts. We hope you all had a great school year, and congrats to all the little grads out there!
