1. Tonight see Booker T and the DBT's and Buddy Guy at the Petrillo Music Shell during Taste of Chicago and enjoy these musical legends in between yummy bites of cheesecake and pizza! Cost: free. 7 pm.
2. Fly your magic car down to the Museum of Science and Industry, where Muggles and wizards alike can share in the magical joy of the Harry Potter exhibit (and you can catch the Half-Blood Prince in Omnimax for an encore!)! Cost: varies. Through September 27th.
3. Have a twirly-whirly good time at Navy Pier, when you see Cirque de Soliel's Shanghai perform their piece "Bright Spirit" at Navy Pier with beautiful feats of strength and agility. Cost: varies. Through Sept 7th.
4. Introduce your kids to a "Whole New World" at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater's opening of a musical version of Aladdin. Cost: $18/kids, $23/adults. 11am (Wed-Sat), 2pm (Thurs - Sun) through August 30th.
5. Attention, fairy godmothers: take your carraige over to Emerald City Theater before it turns back into a pumpkinand delight in their classic Cinderella, which is running for one day only, and comes complete with an ice cream buffet with cast members afterwards. Cinderella's Ice Cream Ball. Cost: $15- all proceeds go to the Head Start foundation. July 25th only.
